The default template that came with MT, and its associated style sheets had me site way the hell over to the right on IE and a bit off on Mozilla. I could not work out why, and as I'm in "don't fix site till thesis fixed" mode, I simply deleted code until it worked well enough. Ta da. It seems ok, and is "good enough."
Although I wish it was better, as really this is pretty ugly.
