The weekend that was, a precursor to the weekend that will be, and that should have been written earlier, rather than later, say now.
Waz and Bhumi have left the building. Well a building, but they have moved into another one, so that is nice. It has a room where Waz's secret shame can be hidden away from the light, which is I think we'll all agree the safest thing.
I went with Sara to see The CORE, or as Adam would allude to HARD core.
And I didn't even suggest going to it, so Sara can be held some what responsible. Ben and I had commented that of course whenever a ship needs to go save the planet or something then there is a pretty good chance there will be a serial killer or psycho on board. Or possibly a communist intent on screwing the mission, usually by breaking something, or killing everyone on board.
Luckily The Core doesn't venture down this path, instead it keeps itself rather together and manages to be pretty cool. It is pretty and actually pretty good. It does have some silly things, but overall it is cool.
And it has DJ Qualls in it.
The day before Quix and I had seen Cradle 2 the Grave, will comment on that: ...later
Whilst at Hoyts I found Virtual Cop Three, and Ben didn't get to play it as he was in the south-er. But I played it and it is sooo pretty, oh yes. Pretty pretty. It has a pedal now, a la Time Crises, but it is not for reloading, (which now is just wave out of the screen, no trigger required), but for entering "ES Mode" which is bullet time by any other name. It is cool, and will no doubt swallow our money, only down side being it is for some unkown reason residing in a small screen, as opposed to big screen. I don't understand, it is new, surely it should oust virtual cop 2 from big screen to small, and not have to put up with this kind of crap anymore.
BUY IT
Whilst whoring around I found this, possibly on Slashdot. We could buy an Aircraft Carrier, speciffically the HMS Vengeance. It is only US$4.5 million, and as Adam suggests, (Adam features in this blog due to him sitting next to me and perusing maps) we could sail into Auckland harbour in an Aircraft Carrier, with a big sign saying PARTY, each guy to bring two woman, and we would rule. So, people ante up. We would rock.
Actually we could sail into most places and hold massive parties. I want one.
Right Adam apparently wants to "work" and I have to sod off. Moving on...
* Title with the aid of Nic & Adam, originating from a very stupid discussion we had. You don't want to know. Suffice to say Adam couldn't be sure if he had been shagged. And if he did know when he didn't know by what, or where exactly or some sort of bollox in that field of study.
