From the Herald,
The US Army said Major General Abed Hamed Mowhoush, an air defence officer during Saddam's rule, had died of natural causes on Thursday during questioning by US troops.
My phone, has predictive text, and it seems to know many words. It also learns words, which is nice. I haven't found many words it does not know, (that are "real" words) but last night I discovered the lettercow. Not letterbox, which has the same letters on a phone keypad, but the lettercow. It won't even cycle through to box, it just go straight to the "spell this word, so I know what you mean in future" section. Which is silly.
Clarifying my thoughts on cameraphones. I used to think they sucked, but that was mostly because I thought that sending a MMS (lame) at the cost of 50c was suxor. But now that people have started sending them to servers, or downloading them to machines, then emailing or uploading to servers for free, I can say that they no longer suck. It has of course led to all sorts of trouble with the sneaky sneaky taking of photos, but overall it seems cool. Although it seems that moblogs are even more personal than other blogs, ie if you don't know the person they seem pretty lame. Even the moblog of the PVP guy just isn't that exciting, and I am somewhat interested in what he is doing.
By proclamation, as his first act in office, Governor Schwarzenegger that California citizen Sarah Connor is wanted by the state for unspecified crimes. Well, I laughed.
Mog and Bishy had their 21st (delayed) party and it was pretty groovy. I had a prior engagement at the BallSports prizegiving (oooh $100 bartab for our team) and after that walked into town. I got to the hospital about 10 mins after Christmas in the park had finished (Pete was her for that, we saw him, now he has gone again) and there were many many people leaving it. It was interesting because I was the only person walking against the traffic, all the way up to Armagh St, and people looked at me funny (more so) as I had to twist and curve to avoid the throng. It seemed anlogous to what fish do when they are swimming aginst the river flow to get home. But I decided that that anology was not really appropriate. Once I got to Armagh St and turned to walk with the flow of traffic thinks went more smoothly.
The second balcony had hot hot gas burner action, there was RTD in three mostly crappy flavours, and there were the people. Yellow RTD was good-ish, Red was "drinkable," whilst Blue was the suck (and was cunningly foisted onto Charlie.) (Speaking of whom, Pete and I attempted to go to the flatwarming of Fi, Charlie and Pete (other) but were unable to due to their stopping at 0100) Will apparently made great guacamole, and a good time was had.
Time passed and the move was made to hassle Nic at work (ha) we went, but the que, it was too long. (Even though entry was expediated for those that hung around by manager nepotist action) Will and I headed for the casino. JP Pizza being deemed too costly, 24/7 being deemed too crap, and us being all dressed up (formal attire) Casino action was (for once) a possibility.
So I had me $4.50 goodness. Mmm food subsidised by gamblers, and cheap to lure the gamblers to hang around. Mmmm
