Subject: Query on capitalisation

Hi,
I'm just writing to question what is happening with the non-capitalisation of acronyms in The Paper. I noticed it awhile ago, and at first assumed it was a mistake. This no longer appears to be the case. ANZAC stands for something, FIFA, NATO, and even ETA all stand for a collection of words. To remove them of all bar their first capitalisation, such as "Anzac" reduces them from acronyms to simple words, or proper nouns. Can someone please explain this practice to me.Thank you in advance,
Me. (Not an English major)
I await a response.

Posted by: Slappa on May 17, 2004 06:44 PMWTF are you trying to do? You'll stir Frank Hayden. Nobody wants that. Nobody!
Posted by: Fappa on May 17, 2004 08:24 PMDan, if Frank Hayden didn't do his show you know, like, totally "in the morning" on a Saturday, I'd be his biggest fan. I'd go to all of his shows, and wait in the blistering cold for him, four hours, and he'd just say no.
Posted by: Luther on May 18, 2004 12:12 AMAfter seeing the way you spelt Saterday(sic), he'd turn his baseball cap around, don his bling-bling, and exclaim, 'raise up offa these n-u-t's, cos biatch, you gets none o'these'. Don't mess with the F-Dog.

Posted by: Luther on May 18, 2004 01:40 PMTim, you control what should be more accurately described as 'arse-time'.
This was a concept tested for the first release of 'Max Payne' but found not very marketable to the target audience.
