This morning I found a link on Stuff to the cell phone thingy. Behold 025 642 7408. I watched TV3 news, and they didn't discuss it.
Ah. Her father busted her this morning.
I'm interested in why Telecom didn't simply cut the phone off. That would be possible, and then whoever complained to Telecom that "my phone stopped working," could get a good smack down. I'm curious about that option.
In other news, You could get a Monkey, or Karma and stuff for your Gmail account thanks to gmailswap.com, the list of stuff up on offer is excellently eclectic.
I'm not an X Idol viewer, but I'm interested in technology, so I was interested to read an article on the voting problems that last seasons American Idol encountered on the runup to the final. I remember hearing that there were about 24 million votes, and that the difference between the two finalists was only "134,000 votes, or less than 1% of the total." Which I thought was a bit odd. Apparently more than 230 million additional votes were attempted, but the phone system simply could not cope with the volume of calls. Texts in this case were fine as they are so tiny compared to a voice call. Additionally aside from simple vans of the show attempting to vote (multiple times) gamblers are getting in on the action with auto diallers. Shib.
