Firefox 0.9

Get Firefox

Alrighty. Firefox 0.9 is out, and it kicks ass. Oh yes, you lame IE users should get yourself to a nunnery, and download some Firefox love.

Mostly it is mighty because it is not an insecure piece of crap, unlike say filthy IE.

But it is also mighty in that this new version has got a greatly improved system for handling Themes (make it prutty like) and Extension (pimp your ride) and that is cool.

The best addition to the extension manager is that it can now automatically check for and download updated versions of the extensions you are running. This is good, because checking every so often so see if any of the myriad of extensions you have installed have been updated sucks. (I only have about 4-5 installed, but some people have MANY)

On extension watch, there is Bookmark Synchronizer which allows you to store all your bookmarks on an FTP server and synch them on all of the different (home, school, office, laptop) machines you are running. This is cool. Very cool. (Although, Ducktation did this for us previously)

The only downside to this new version is that the default theme is now impressivly ugly. UG-O! Luckily the theme manager allows for the easy replacement and destruction of it, so that we need never worry again.

Get it, and run it all ye sinners.

Have you tried "Qute 2.1.1"? It is pretty good, just make sure (and this holds for many of them) that you change it to "small icons" in the customise tollbar option. Otherwise it looks a bit big and naff.
