Right now, VoIP appeals to tightwads and bloggers says Mercer Consulting, although it phrases it a little differently, diplomatically referring to "highly price-sensitive consumers and technology geeks." Only these two groups are prepared to put up with lower sound quality and reliability right now.
As Ben is want to remind us, Bloggers only make up about no percent of everyone, and those who do blog tend to read other peoples blogs, so it is a big wank fest in a closed system. Still, voice over IP is theoretically a good time.
Additionally, if Apple made iPODs like this one, I'd be there. Oh yes, it looks awsome. Good word some design geek. (accompanying a story at wired)
