They'll Pay For That Too

Ah the fast Internet, how we love it. I'm patching a WinME machine from original discs and will the patching take 100 million hours no download on 56k? Well yes it will, but we here at me don't got no dialup, we got us some DSL. Not as fast as it will be in one weeks time when we ramp it up to 1mbit/s, and even this won't be as fast as somepeople, but it will certainly be fast enough for me. Oh yes.

I had a big rant here about a stupid quote in The Press yesterday, but after I read it back I deleted. Man it was dribbly. Even for me. So know you know.

Meanwhile Ben is playing Halo 2, and I'm writing this as I watch a progress bar churn.

For those not paying close attention, Si has some love for sale. Check it out.

Might I suggest that patching a WinME machine is a waste of time? Hurling it out the nearest convenient window would probably be more productive. If all else fails at least put Win2k or WinXP on the poor thing.

I tried, but the owner of said machine wasn't particularly interested in upgrading. (or even downgrading to 98SE).
